Steering — step by step

Steer with the rig

There is no rudder — you steer by tilting the rig.
When the sail's Centre of Effort (CE) moves ahead of or behind the daggerboard's Centre of Lateral Resistance (CLR), the board turns.

Head up

Tilt the rig back (toward the tail) → the nose turns toward the wind: heading up.
Phone: push the stick right. Computer: press D.

Bear away

Tilt the rig forward (toward the nose) → the nose turns away from the wind: bearing away.
As you turn downwind, sheet out a little.

Go straight

Rig upright in the middle → the board goes straight.
Come back to a beam reach and hold it.
